About The Knoxville AI Hub
Why We’re Here
Generative AI isn’t just a new tool—it’s a shift in how we think, create, and connect across our world. But for many in East Tennessee, it still feels distant, confusing, or out of reach. That’s why the Knoxville AI Hub exists.
We’re here to make AI approachable, practical, and rooted in local values. We translate tech into everyday language, offer hands-on learning, and spotlight real stories from our region—so Knoxville isn’t just keeping up, but leading with purpose. We are building East Tennessee’s AI Innovation Corridor: one conversation, one training workshop, one empowered learner at a time.
What We Do
The Knoxville AI Hub is a gathering place for ideas, resources, and community action. We will:
- Be a bridge between statewide policy, technological development, and local needs.
- Host workshops, forums, and engagement sessions to lift up both opportunities and concerns in our neighborhoods.
- Illuminate use cases from local organizations — what’s working, what isn’t — so everyone can learn from each other.
- Help tear down barriers: lack of funding, lack of training, limited awareness.
- Promote transparency, accountability, and a voice for East Tennessee in how AI is adopted in our area.
Our Vision
We imagine a future where:
- Every worker—from tech to trades—can build AI-relevant skills without leaving their community
- Schools use AI to spark creativity and deepen learning—not just automate it.
- Residents can trust that AI deployments impacting their lives are guided by principles of fairness, privacy, and public benefit.
- Local governments are proactive and capable: using AI tools securely, transparently, with informed public input.
- Healthcare and manufacturing in our region leverage AI to improve outcomes and efficiency without sacrificing ethics or human oversight.
